Material Supervisor

• Develop and execute schedules that align with site inventory goals and customer service levels.
• Continuously refine and improve material control processes and parameters to ensure ongoing productivity and minimize overhead costs.
• Identify capacity-constrained processes and implement strategies to meet service level requirements for affected parts.
• Create planning documents, work schedules, and work instructions within set guidelines, and manage execution to achieve operational excellence.
• Staff the materials function department with individuals who contribute significantly to site goals; coach and develop key personnel for advancement into higher-responsibility roles.

• 5+ years of related materials experience
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience
• Interacts frequently with team members and functional peers
• Capable of gaining cooperation of others; experienced in presenting technical information on specific projects, schedules, etc.
• Proficient in computer operation with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, MRP, and related software/systems (including Oracle)
• Lean / Six Sigma culture champion
• Working knowledge of inventory systems as required
• Practical knowledge of statistical control techniques (SQC & SPC), Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO-9000 and ISO-14000, and Lean Manufacturing
• Ensure accuracy in picking, packing, receiving, and shipping duties (i.e., ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Must be able to speak in Mandarin
