ob Purpose To support Marine department role to assess, evaluate, analyze and accept Marine risks from all business sources and produce good balance between underwriting results and business growth Job Responsibilities You will be responsible to collaborate and synergise with Sales to make accurate and sound underwriting decisions that achieve the budgeted Gross Written Premium for Marine General Insurance. You will manage the portfolio to ensure profitability of the budgeted combined ratio, loss ratio for Marine General Insurance. You will customize IT software systems and initiate integration of system in order to simplify related work processes to improve delivery time to customers and provide them with seamless (Marine Web Portal) quick issuance of Marine certificates. You will provide good turnaround of documents issuance (policy and endorsements) to branches, marketers, intermediaries (agents and brokers), customers and coinsurers. You will ensure strict compliance to all the standards and guidelines related to the underwriting of Marine risk. Job Requirements You must possess a bachelor&aposs degree in actuarial science or in data science or in insurance or its equivalent. You must have at least 5-7 years of working experience in an underwriting role in a General insurance industry. Having prior experience in marine underwriting would be advantageous. You must have good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, or SQL You must have good interpersonal & analytical skills to collaborate with our internal stakeholders within and other divisions in Etiqa to strengthen and foster seamless business analytics that values add to the sales channels.
