- Maintain and implement the Halal Assurance System (HAS), including documentation and records.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, inspections, and certification renewals; follow up on findings and CAPA.
- Monitor production, procurement, and operational processes to ensure SOP and compliance adherence.
- Verify supplier and procurement compliance, including halal status and supporting documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date licenses, certifications, and statutory records for audit readiness.
- Support training and awareness programs on halal, food safety, and compliance requirements.
- Handle compliance-related enquiries and provide timely reports and updates to management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in compliance, halal assurance, food safety, or regulatory affairs is preferred.
- Knowledge in internal halal audits, corrective actions, and maintaining Halal Assurance System (HAS).
- Candidates with equivalent hands-on experience in halal compliance, even without formal qualifications, may be considered subject to demonstrated competency.
- Knowledge of procurement compliance processes, including due diligence, purchase request vetting, SOP adherence, record verification, and application of continuous improvement frameworks such as PDCA.
- Familiarity with other company certifications (SIRIM, FSSC, MeSTI, SEDEX, Yum!) and working knowledge of relevant Malaysian regulatory requirements, including licensing, data protection, taxation, safety, and trade compliance.
- Knowledge of Chinese language is an added advantage
