Role Overview The Senior Executive - Payroll is responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for all LOOB's employees nationwide. This includes accurate salary computation , statutory compliance , reporting , and process improvement . The role requires a strong understanding of Malaysian payroll regulations and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including basic salary, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and deductions including managing foreign worker salary with Merchantrade, etc. Ensure compliance with all statutory deductions such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB . Review and verify timesheets and attendance records from store operations. Statutory Compliance & Submissions Prepare and submit statutory forms and reports: Form EA, Form E, CP39, EPF files , etc. Keep up to date with Malaysian employment and tax laws affecting payroll. Liaise with relevant government agencies (LHDN, EPF, PERKESO) as required. Reporting & Reconciliation Prepare monthly payroll reports, variance analysis, and headcount costing for Finance and HR. Ensure accuracy in GL posting and reconciliation with Finance department. System & Records Maintenance Maintain employee payroll data in the HRIS/payroll system. Ensure proper documentation of all payroll-related matters for audit and compliance. Work with system vendors or IT team for troubleshooting and enhancements. Employee Support Handle payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and confidential manner. Support HR on payroll audits, internal reviews, and employee onboarding/offboarding. Employee briefing/training related Process Improvement Identify areas for automation or streamlining within the payroll process. Assist in implementing new payroll procedures or system upgrades. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in F&B or retail industry . Skills & Competencies Proficient in payroll software (e.g., Worksy, Rymnet, Orisoft, SQL Payroll, SAP, or similar). Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour law and statutory contributions . Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and time management skills. High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken & written). Show more Show less
