Our client is a Malaysian construction and civil engineering company that operates mainly in infrastructure, roadworks and building projects.Job responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities on the railway project site in Penang.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality control.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
- Identify and resolve any engineering issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to on site.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on railway projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations related to railway construction.
- Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Willingness to be based in Penang and travel to project sites as required.Location:
