Location:Penang / KL Position Summary: We are seeking a highly technical and customer-facing Verification Solutions Architect to drive the adoption of our verification solutions. In this role, you will be the technical authority throughout the sales cycle, translating complex customer challenges into compelling, winning solutions based on our product portfolio. You will architect verification methodologies, lead technical evaluations, and be a key voice influencing both our customers and our product strategy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Discovery & Solution Design Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with customers to understand their verification pain points, workflow bottlenecks, and project requirements for complex SoCs. Architect and design end-to-end verification solutions using our suite of tools (Simulation, Formal, HW Acceleration, Emulation, VIP). Develop and deliver high-quality technical proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and competitive positioning documents. Create and present compelling technical presentations and demonstrations that showcase the unique value proposition of our solutions. 2. Customer Engagement & Technical Sales Support Serve as the primary technical lead for strategic sales opportunities, from initial contact to closure. Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects; define success criteria, manage the technical engagement, and present results to customer leadership. Build strong technical relationships with key stakeholders, from verification engineers to technical directors and VPs of engineering. Effectively communicate the technical differentiators of our solutions against competitors. 3. Internal Collaboration & Market Intelligence Act as the critical link between the customer and our Product Management and R&D teams, providing actionable feedback and market requirements. Train and mentor the sales team on technical aspects of the verification portfolio. Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows, delivering technical talks and whitepapers to build brand credibility. Qualifications & Requirements Must-Haves: Technical Expertise: Bachelor&aposs or Master&aposs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC verification. Deep, practical knowledge of UVM, SystemVerilog , and modern verification methodologies. Proven tape-out experience with complex SoCs. Strong understanding of the entire verification landscape: simulation (e.g., VCS, Xcelium), debug, coverage closure, and at least one adjacent area (Formal, Emulation, or HW Acceleration). Soft Skills & Aptitude: Exceptional communication and presentation skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both engineers and executives. Customer-centric mindset: A proven listener who can understand unstated customer needs and build trust. Superior problem-solving skills: Ability to think strategically and design innovative solutions to overcome technical and business challenges. Strong business acumen: Understands the commercial drivers behind technical decisions. Highly Preferred: Prior experience in a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, Field Application Engineer (FAE) , or similar customer-facing technical role, preferably at an EDA company (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA) or a major semiconductor vendor. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl) for automation and tool customization. Established professional network within the semiconductor industry.
