- Control manufacturing process and monitor quality performance both internal & external, review quality data with related persons regularly.
- Coordinate process improvement activities for process stability and product quality.
- Task including process yield continuous improvement, implement containment action, investigate the root cause, follow up corrective actions and response to related person/department, and Product Hold process follow up.
- Set up process management plan for each product and ensure being understood and followed.
- Guide production personnel such as operator and inspector on quality standard and workmanship standard understanding.
- Data collecting and analysis, and drive improvement with data.
- Equipment calibration management, Jig and Fixture PM, intranet database maintenance and work environment control for ESD and cleanroom of manufacturing plant.
- Implement First Article Inspection.
- New product transfer action followed up.
- New Production Line qualification.
- Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
- Provides expert-level support in specialized technical areas, with access to proprietary systems, technical procedures, and confidential project data.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
- Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (Telephone, PC etc.), need go the production area frequently.
- Also works in a fast-paced manufacturing/lab environment.
- English communication skills in verbal and written.
- Problem Solving skills with coordination between different departments.
- Data analysis ability, able to find potential quality issues as early as possible.
- Skill of basic quality tools and quality improvement tools such as, SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc.
- Creative ability, technical skill and independent judgment ability.
- PC skills, can properly present quality issues and reports with Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of ESD & Cleanroom practices.
- Have in process quality control or engineering experience.
- Having experience in wire bond process, either ball or wedge bonding.
- Preferably with knowledge of Semiconductor Assembly Backend processes.
- The 6-Sigma background is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experinece in wire bond process.
- Bachelor Science in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering is preferred, or diploma graduation but with five years of work experience.
