Role Summary We are looking for a Naval Architect to support FPSO hull design, structural assessment, and stability work. The role involves working closely with engineering teams, classification societies, and shipyards to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient FPSO designs. Key Responsibilities Design FPSO hulls (conceptual to detailed), ensuring strength, stability, and weight efficiency. Perform hydrostatics, stability, and vessel motion analyses using standard engineering software. Prepare stability booklets, lightship reports, and other documents for Class and client approval. Support structural teams with strength, fatigue, and buckling assessments. Coordinate design interfaces between hull, topsides, marine systems, and mooring teams. Ensure designs meet ABS, DNV, BV, IMO, and flag-state requirements. Participate in design reviews, model tests, and performance verification. Provide technical support during FEED, detailed engineering, and conversion phases. Work with shipyards, Class societies, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. Required Qualifications & Skills Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent. 5-8 years of experience with FPSOs or floating offshore units. Strong skills in hull form development, hydrostatics, and stability. Proficient with tools such as MOSES, OrcaFlex, NAPA, etc. Solid understanding of Class rules (ABS, DNV, BV) and IMO stability requirements. Good communication, documentation, and analytical abilities. Preferred Experience with FPSO conversion projects. Exposure to FEED/EPC project environments. Ability to mentor junior engineers or manage small design tasks. Shipyard or offshore site experience.
