- Assist in identifying risks and force a pro-active planning process on Industrial Hygiene program.
- Coordinates relevant activities as a management representative, such as daily toolbox/pre-shift meeting and management at the site.
- Review, develop, and enforce the implementation of IH related procedures in response with customer requirements, company and applicable laws/regulatory.
- Advising and collaborating with site management to resolve occupational health issues.
- Creating and executing studies to monitor and assess employees' exposure to health risks, and to measure effectiveness of occupational health programs, policies and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and arising in line with the organization, IH control practices and programs.
- Has knowledge and can facilitate EHS Induction and other training mainly on Industrial Hygiene and etc. for relevant suppliers/contractors,
- Arranging, facilitating and tracking of JLL employees IH trainings
- Facilitates, assist IH incident investigation in conjunction with line and facility staff personnel.
- Provides injury/illness reports for accuracy and completeness. Manages injury/illness information database and uses information to perform trend analysis. Provide timely reporting of statistical information to EHS Site Manager.
- Organize, arrange safety audits, line walk (SMBWA), communicate observations and monitor closure with action item owner.
- Tracks EHS Local Regulatory, assess application and communicate implementation to all stakeholders.
- Participate and involve in Standard audits (ISO, RBA, etc..) as and when required.
- Conducts Industrial Hygiene Assessment (Air Quality, Illumination, Noise, Heat evaluation, Oxygen deficient environment and monitor all JLL and their sub-contractors’ activities to ensure occupational health and safety is in top compliance.
- Proposing and leading implementation of programs to protect employee health and implementing ergonomics.
- Conducting regular audits of programs.
- Implementing corrective actions and suspending operations if required.
- Advising various parties on workers' compensation claims pertaining to workplace exposures.
- Maintaining current knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or any relevant studies.
- 3 to 5 years of working experience in related field
- Familiar with Malaysian related Guideline and Legislation (i.e Noise, IAQ and etc)
- HT1/HT2 DOSH registered competency required.
- IAQ & Confined Space related competency is an added advantage.
- Good verbal communication and good in English business writing.
- Presentation skill and well versed in Microsoft office applications (Words, Excel & related application).
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and coordination skills.
- Possess own transport.
