- Oversee end-to-end handling of financial lines claims including D&O, PI, Crime, EPL, Cyber, and related products.
- Oversee Liability & A&H claim management.
- Ensure claims are investigated, evaluated, and settled efficiently and fairly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior claims staff.
- Manage a group of claim handler and ensure claims are processed on a timely fashion.
- Liaise with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and legal counsel to manage complex claims.
- Represent the company in settlement negotiations, mediations, and litigation where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to internal claims handling procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate claims records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Monitor claims trends and provide insights to underwriting and risk teams.
- Prepare regular reports on claims performance, reserves, and loss ratios.
- Identify opportunities to enhance claims processes and customer experience.
- Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within the claims function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Insurance, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in financial lines claims handling, preferably in an insurance or reinsurance environment.
- Strong understanding of policy wordings, legal principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in managing complex and high-value claims.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Malaysian market practices and legal systems.
- Proficiency in BNM Claims settlement practice
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
