JOB PURPOSE Internal Audit & Risk Responsible for overseeing and leading MTDC's internal audit (IA), enterprise risk management (ERM), and business continuity management (BCM). Accountable for accuracy of company records and financial documents within audit's scope, including identifying compliance concerns, risks, fraud, and data inaccuracies to safeguard stakeholders' interests and operational checks. Ensure MTDC's readiness and response capabilities to manage disruptions. Integrity Governance Unit Promote and uphold ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability. Lead Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) policies, procedures, and programs to prevent/detect unethical behavior, fraud, and corruption. Manage MTDC's Whistleblowing channel. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. SOP Review Conduct annual review on SOP to ensure alignment with current processes. Submit SOP report as part of the work plan for endorsement by BIGU. Outcome: Timely submission of SOP report. 2. Governance Framework Conduct awareness talks on governance. Provide a declaration platform for stakeholders on Conflict of Interest (COI) and related-party transactions. Outcome: No major cases reported to the Board. 3. MACC Section 17A Compliance Conduct investigations related to compliance. Ensure adherence to Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) policies. Report findings to the Board for deliberation. Manage the e-Whistleblowing platform. Outcome: Compliance with regulatory requirements. 4. Anti-Corruption & Governance Improvement Enhance anti-corruption strategies and governance practices. Support Malaysia's goal to rank Top 25 in CPI score by 2033. Outcome: Improved governance and reduced corruption risks. 5. ESG Governance & Sustainability Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on ESG (focusing on governance). Plan and execute activities related to governance elements. Outcome: Compliance with ESG framework. 6. Compliance & Risk-Based Audits Develop audit scope and objectives in line with approved plans. Conduct compliance and risk-based internal audits. Outcome: Timely audit reports and follow-up on action plans. 7. Business Continuity Management (BCM) Conduct simulation exercises for emergency preparedness. Review and enhance emergency response, incident response, and communication plans. Outcome: Improved BCM readiness. 8. Internal Funds Review Perform in-house reviews on fund disbursements as per agreements. Outcome: Assurance on proper management of public funds. 9. Audit Quality & Standards Ensure audit reviews meet prescribed quality standards. Verify adequacy of internal controls and risk management systems. Outcome: Assurance to the Board on governance effectiveness. 10. Coaching & Training Share real audit case studies with staff for learning. Outcome: Enhanced team competency and awareness. JOB REQUIREMENT Minimum bachelor's Degree in Accounting or professional qualification. Minimum 10 years of experience in audit Good report writing: analytical and interpersonal skills. Country regulatory environment, governing bodies and industry compliance requirement eg: Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance etc Global Internal Audit Standard - International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) MFRS, corporate governance standards.
