- Complete all health and safety training and documentation requirements.
- Participate in learning opportunities in the workshop, field and manufacturing facilities.
- Adhere to the apprenticeship programme and follow the rotation plan.
- Produce the relevant documentary evidence of learning in the workplace.
- Complete all required assessments.
- Build good working relationships with other colleagues.
- Regularly report to line management and training provider regarding work and learning progress
- Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and the workplace.
- Produce / review risk assessments and method statements in line with requirements.
- Receive all manufacturers' actuators and gearboxes, clean, strip and determine their condition. Create a report listing the labour and materials necessary to carry out the repair or overhaul. Prepare a quotation based on these results.
- Carry out the repair/overhaul and test the unit on the workshop test rig prior to creating and issuing a new test certificate.
- Carry out factory fitting of valves/actuators.
- Learn how to assemble electrohydraulic, electro-mechanical, electric actuators and gearboxes.
- Any other duty reasonably associated with this role when required.
- Safety - comply with all company and global health and safety standards to support a safe working environment. Identifying any safety risks or issues and reporting them in a timely manner so they can be resolved. Keeping the workplace clean and tidy
- Quality - maintain high quality standards by ensuring that all tasks are completed 'right, first time'.
- Delivery - consistently contribute to the required output in all areas.
- Cost - contribute to improving processes and helping to reduce waste in whatever way possible (the company welcomes all suggestions to improve working methods)
- People - being flexible, having a 'can do' approach, and supporting the business in all areas.
- Take responsibility for your own safety and workplace standards
- Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Strip, clean, assess and quote repairs for actuators and gearboxes
- Complete overhaul and repairs, then test and certify equipment
- Factory-fit valves and actuators
- Assemble electrohydraulic, electro-mechanical and electric actuators
- Work hands-on with industry-leading Rotork technology
- Contribute to business improvements and continuous innovation
- Currently completing (or recently completed and ready for an internship and career):
- Diploma/Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- No experience needed - we provide full training

- Interested in an engineering work environment and enjoys hands-on practical work.
