- Lead, coach, and develop the Malaysia People Operations team
- Allocate work, set priorities, and ensure effective workload distribution
- Drive a high-performance, service-oriented culture
- Provide performance feedback of the team to Director-People Ops
- Development planning of the team
- Ensure proper training and onboarding for new team members
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes
- Ensure accurate and timely HR administration and documentation
- Manage employee records and HR data integrity
- Ensure consistent service delivery to employees and managers
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations pertaining to each jurisdiction
- Maintain adherence to company policies and internal controls
- Monitor implementation of administrative and procedural rules
- Support audits and compliance reviews
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping standards
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies
- Standardize and document HR operational processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend and implement best practices
- Participate in designing scalable HR workflows
- Maintain strong knowledge of HR systems (e.g., Workday or equivalent)
- Ensure data accuracy and system utilization
- Partner on system enhancements and automation
- Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports
- Partner with HRBPs to deliver seamless HR services
- Work closely with Payroll, Finance, and IT
- Support managers on HR operational matters
- Represent HR Operations in meetings and cross-functional initiatives
- Accuracy & timeliness of HR operational delivery
- Compliance with local labor laws and company policies of each jurisdiction
- Service quality and employee/manager satisfaction
- Data integrity in HR systems
- Operational efficiency and process improvements
- Team performance and capability development
- Audit readiness and documentation standards
- Successful implementation of HR operational initiatives
- 5+ years' experience in HR Operations
- Prior experience managing or leading a team would be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and lifecycle management
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday or similar)
- Good understanding of general labor law across the globe, especially in APJ, EMEA and NA.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience in a global organization
- Exposure to process improvement or HR transformation projects
- Experience working with shared services models
- A qualification on structured problem solving i.e. Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above) will be an added advantage.
