Role Overview The CFO will serve as a strategic financial leader for a rapidly expanding organisation operating across construction, engineering, and data centre development, with an extensive footprint spanning APAC, China, the Middle East, and selected global markets. This role will design innovative, compliant financial structures across APAC, oversee cross-border governance, and partner closely with the Group CEO and senior leadership on capital strategy, risk management, and regional/global expansion. Key Responsibilities Strategic Finance & Capital Agenda Set and execute Group financial strategy across construction/engineering, technology, manufacturing, and investment arms, aligned to aggressive regional expansion and US launch . Architect capital structure , lead project financing for large DC builds, evaluate M&A/joint ventures , and support wealth preservation and growth for shareholders. Translate the CEO's growth thesis into bankable financial plans , investment cases, and return frameworks. Governance, Controls & Compliance (APAC Focus) Establish and enforce robust governance , internal controls, and risk frameworks across multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations in APAC and beyond. Oversee audit, tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements for the Group's complex structure, including special-purpose and investment vehicles . Ensure timely, accurate reporting to boards, lenders, and external partners; drive transparency and disciplined performance management. Project, Operations & Investment Finance Lead project finance and cash-flow orchestration for large-scale data centre and engineering programmes; optimise working capital across long-cycle contracts. Oversee finance for manufacturing operations (including sizeable facilities in North Asia) and the technology/operations arms . Implement commercial governance for engineering contracts (progress payments, variations, claims, retentions), ensuring margin protection and risk control. Innovation, Systems & Insight Introduce creative, compliant financial structures to maximise strategic advantage in APAC contexts (tax-efficient, regulatorily sound, operationally practical). Modernise finance systems, reporting and dashboards , enabling scenario modelling, cost/value engineering insights, and faster executive decision-making. Embed a performance culture via KPIs/OKRs, forecasting discipline, and portfolio-level visibility. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Build and mentor high-performing finance teams across APAC; standardise best practices across entities/countries. Act as a trusted steward to top leadership; manage confidential matters with the highest integrity. Engage credibly with banks, investors, advisors, government stakeholders , and strategic partners across the region. Requirements Senior finance leadership in data centres , engineering/construction , infrastructure , or large project environments (APAC exposure essential). Demonstrated success in project financing , operations finance , and investment/portfolio management within multi-entity, cross-border structures. Strong command of engineering/contracting commercials (progress payments, variations, claims, subcontractor/payment flows) and EPC/DC project lifecycles . Proven ability to design innovative yet compliant financial solutions suited to APAC regulatory environments. Multilingual communication across APAC (proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Malay preferred; other APAC languages a plus).
