- Design and specify electrical systems for buildings, such as 33kV and 11kV medium voltage systems, 400V LV systems, emergency power supply, single line diagram, lighting and small power, earthing and lightning protection, telecommunications infrastructure, ELV systems, security systems, vertical transportation systems etc.
- Prepare design related documents, design calculations, design brief, technical drawings, submissions to authority etc.
- Manage the tender process, including cost estimations, tender documents, technical specifications, tender evaluation and tender reporting.
- Attend client-consultant, site and technical meetings.
- Manage contract administration according to PAM or IEM contracts, including construction monitoring and site supervision.
- Review contractors' technical submissions of equipment / materials / drawings.
- Conduct site inspections of installations.
- Witness testing and commissioning of equipment or systems.
- Work with the engineers of other disciplines, clients' project team, external consultants to coordinate and detail project design requirement.
- Be responsible for any duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a registered Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- At least 2 years of building design experience in multidisciplinary / M&E consultancy firm(s).
- Familiar with Malaysian building legislation, Malaysia Standards, regulations, Code of Practices, local council requirements, ST requirements, TNB guidelines, authority submission guidelines and processes.
- Positive work attitude and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in high rise and complex buildings is preferred.
- Suitable applicants with more extensive experience and deeper technical knowledge will be considered for more senior positions.
