- Research, analyze and report on trade compliance needs.
- Advise on regulatory matters pertaining to import/export requirements.
- HS Classification & import requirement determination for ASEAN countries.
- Support the firms core projects.
- Analyze customs and trade related data to assist the firm in providing advice to our clients on risk assessment, duty mitigation, auditing, supply chain security and tactical based services.
- Assign accurate tariff classification, customs valuation, FTA qualification, PGA requirements, ECCN classification etc.
- Provide written advice to clients on matters pertaining to Customs & Trade Compliance.
- Coordinate engagements and projects.
- The role will also include administrative, project management and client relationship management, including meetings and active client engagement.
- Perform other duties & tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. A professional accreditation (eg. customs broker's license) will be viewed very favorably.
- 3-6 years of working experience in a related field, with at least 3 years should ideally comprising consulting experience.
- Advanced understanding of import/export regulations and practice.
- Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, curiosity, vision, positive attitude & confidence.
- Possess the ability to evaluate and articulate complex issues effectively.
- Strong research & analytical skills.
- Sharp problem-solving skills.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Fluent in English; Fluency in Bahasa Malayu is considered an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to details.
- Proficiency with Microsoft® Word and Microsoft® Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience or familiarity with trade compliance in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Experience or familiarity with trade compliance in the ASEAN region or another ASEAN country is an added advantage.
