In this role, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing and finance teams by providing accurate cost analysis, variance reporting, and financial insights at plant and country level. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Finance, and Business Management to enhance cost visibility, drive cost control, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Cost Analyst is also responsible for month-end closing activities, budgeting support, standard cost maintenance, and ensuring robust cost accounting processes are in place.If you are interested in this role, view the full scope and apply today.Responsibilities
-Stakeholder Management & Communication-Act as the primary finance contact for local site teams on cost-related matters
-Lead and coordinate communication between Manufacturing, Finance, and Business Management on cost topics
-Provide clear visibility to stakeholders on product costing, overhead allocations, and cost-related issues
-Cost Analysis & Control-Manage ad-hoc cost analysis requests and provide timely, actionable insights
-Analyse production variances across multiple dimensions and deliver accurate reporting
-Identify recurring variances, communicate root causes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
-Perform cost control activities at plant and country level, identifying improvement opportunities and corrective actions
-Period-End & Reporting Activities-Execute month-end closing and cost reporting activities in accordance with the closing calendar
-Support budget preparation, standard cost setting, activity rate analysis, and follow-up
-Manage inventory revaluation processes, including monitoring tolling products
-Governance & Process Management-Ensure the maintenance and regular review of cost accounting process documentation
-Oversee asset accounting activities in coordination with Finance and site stakeholders
-Additional Responsibilities-Support and manage other cost analysis and reporting requirements as neededRequired skills and experience
-1-3 years of experience in Accounting & Finance; Costing experience highly advantagous
-Fresh graduates are welcome
-Fluent in English; Mandarin is highly advantagous to support our operations in Greater China
-Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
-Strong experience with pivot tables, data processing, and data analysis
-Proven ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
-Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated
-Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesQualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance, or a related fieldWe offer
