As an Automation Technician at Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring their optimal performance and efficiency.Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated machinery, robotics, and control systems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on automated equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including sensors, motors, PLCs, HMI, and other control devices.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new automated production lines and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic diagrams.
- Program and modify PLC and HMI systems as required for process improvements and new product introduction.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues and process optimization.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators on automated equipment operation.
- Diploma or Associate's Degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
- Understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) and HMI development.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical control systems, including motors, drives, sensors, and safety circuits.
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, KUKA) is a significant advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production setting.
- Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as required.
