- Serve as the Employee Relations subject matter expert in the APAC region, leading complex investigations and interpreting company policies to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes across regions and organizational levels.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on sensitive workplace issues, policy application, and risk mitigation.
- Lead the development, implementation, and governance of ER-related policies aligned with global and local requirements.
- Support and advise regional ER teams on investigations, best practices, and capability building through training and consultation.
- Establish operating standards, policies, and procedures that govern investigation practices for different countries in the APAC region.
- Drive adoption and maturity of the global Employee Relations support model in the APAC region.
- Deliver ER support across all countries in the region, including coaching and training on conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing ER culture, leading regional initiatives aligned with global ER priorities.
- Identify, analyze, and communicate investigation trends and systemic issues to key stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the Global Employee Relations function in APAC.
- Build and maintain consistent processes, documentation, and a shared knowledge base for the global ER team.
- Partner closely with Legal, HR Business Partners, People Services, Global Compliance, and Global Security to manage escalated employee matters and ensure alignment with corporate policies and applicable laws.
- Act as an escalation point for complex cases, providing guidance on root-cause analysis, corrective action, and intervention planning.
- Reinforce the Global Employee Relations support model in APAC, by partnering with HR Operations and global peers to leverage technology and enhance service delivery.
- Influence leaders and stakeholders to adopt new ways of working, driving a consistent and positive employee experience across countries in the APAC region.
- Serve as a change champion, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HR service delivery, Centers of Excellence, and HR Business Partners.
- Support change management efforts that strengthen adoption of the HR operating model and improve operational effectiveness and employee experience.
- Bachelor's degree with 10 - 12 years of progressive human resources experience, including significant focus on employee relations, full-cycle workplace investigations, performance management, and compliance in highly matrixed and global organizations.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing and conducting complex, full-cycle internal employee investigations in countries in the APAC region.
- Regional experience leading complex employee investigations across multiple countries (China, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, India, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations across different jurisdictions in APAC.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Exceptional professionalism, discretion, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency in Mandarin, or other Asian languages (Japanese, Korean) in the region is preferred.
