Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is representing a leading Malaysian company in the engineering and industrial sector. We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to manage full-spectrum accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. The role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, handle statutory reporting, coordinate with auditors and tax authorities, and contribute to financial integrity and operational efficiency across the organization.Key Responsibilities

Manage full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets)
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
Handle taxation matters, including SST submissions and liaising with LHDN
Support audits and coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary
Assist in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting
Maintain proper documentation and strengthen internal controls
Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent) is advantageous
Strong knowledge of MFRS, SST, and Malaysian tax regulations
High integrity, attention to detail, and accountability
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
