Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the plant's automation roadmap in line with overall business objectives.Oversee full-cycle project execution for robotics, vision systems, and advanced automation initiatives.Lead the evaluation, design, and integration of robotic arms, cobots, and AGVs into production lines.Collaborate with equipment suppliers to co-develop tailored automation solutions.Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, robotic platforms and HMIs.Implement machine vision systems to enhance quality control, object recognition, and line efficiency monitoring.Partner with camera and sensor vendors to design and deploy solutions for packaging operations.Work alongside software teams to leverage AI/ML tools for process automation and predictive maintenance.Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of automation and maintenance engineers.Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.Manage partnerships with automation vendors and system integrators.Track budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.Key RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.15+ years of proven experience in industrial automation.Strong expertise in robotic integration, machine vision systems, and Industry 4.0 applications.Proficiency in industrial programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Python, C/C++, ROS).Hands-on experience with SCADA, MES, and digital factory systems is highly advantageous.Demonstrated leadership skills with a solid track record in project management and cross-functional collaboration.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
