You'll handle daily operations, support infrastructure projects, and troubleshoot incidents to keep our systems running smoothly. What You'll Bring (Requirements) Must-Haves: VMware Virtuoso: 3+ years managing vCenter and vSphere (install, configure, manage). Linux & Virtualization Pro: Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and OS. Migration Skills: Proven experience in Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) and Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) migrations. Resource Management: Ability to manage virtualization resources like storage, network, and VMs. Build & Configuration: Skilled in building ESXi Hosts and VMs in both Linux & Windows environments. Scripting Ability: Proficient in Bash Shell scripting (or other scripting languages). File Transfer: Familiarity with MoveIT. Cloud Exposure: Basic experience with AWS VM provisioning and network configuration. Monitoring: Experience using monitoring tools for enterprise server oversight. ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL concepts (Incident, Change, Problem Management). Self-Starter: Motivated and a great team player. Hardware Know-How: Experience with HP Server and Storage (Proliant, Storeonce, 3Par, Nimble). Nice-to-Haves: Containerization: Experience with Docker/Kubernetes. Automation: Any automation experience is a big plus. Networking: Basic routing and networking skills. Dell Hardware: Experience with Dell Server and Storage (Poweredge, Unity, XtremIO). Middleware: Basic skills with Apache, Tomcat, Postfix, etc. Industry Experience: Background in Financial Services. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Operations: Handle day-to-day operations and maintenance of Linux servers and the vSphere environment. Project Participation: Join infrastructure implementation projects for production, testing, development, and disaster recovery. Incident Management: Manage tickets within SLA, involved in Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes. System Maintenance: Plan and perform system maintenance, including OS and security patching. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and report system incidents, problems, and anomalies. Documentation: Create and maintain operational documentation and reports. Policy & Standards: Help set up IT policies and standard operating procedures to ensure a standardized environment. Automation: Create and maintain scripts to automate Linux server support tasks. Vendor Management: Manage vendors in daily operations and infrastructure projects.
