Job Overview Our client, a plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead the operations team at their new manufacturing facility. This role is fully accountable for overseeing all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Lead and manage the operations team to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes. Ensure production activities adhere to all applicable legal, regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Drive continuous improvement across processes, technologies, and systems. Manufacturing & Quality Oversee daily production activities, ensuring output meets quality and efficiency standards. Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance system. Ensure appropriate safety protocols are in place, aligned with both local laws and company standards. Approve and oversee maintenance work, equipment purchases, and production-related improvements. Supply Chain & Compliance Manage supply chain processes, including inventory control, vendor selection, procurement, and logistics. Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer standards, and external regulations. People & Culture Build and lead a high-performing, motivated team. Foster collaboration across departments and regional facilities. Identify training needs and implement development programs to elevate staff capabilities. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Financial Management Take ownership of department budgets and cost control. Estimate operational costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenditures. Report on departmental KPIs and performance metrics to senior management. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical & Managerial Competencies Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as an Operations or Production Manager in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain, procurement, warehousing, and logistics. Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, especially in plastic material transformation (extrusion is a plus). Proficient in implementing and managing quality systems (ISO standards preferred). Experience with LEAN, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical skills and experience with performance reporting and KPI tracking. Leadership & Interpersonal Skills Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities. Strong communicator with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams. Decisive and results-oriented, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach. Committed to safety, quality, and compliance. Educational & Language Requirements Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
