Level: Senior/ Assistant ManagerThis role will report to the head of legal and is expected to be able to work independently while leading and coordinating legal projects, including policy development, regulatory initiatives, and cross-department matters. The candidate is also expected to be able to mentor junior legal counsels and collaborate closely with stakeholders to support Tranglo's objectives and key results.JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including NDAs, commercial contracts, and other documentation supporting business operations.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and industry practice to support day-to-day advisory work and internal decision-making.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure contracts or projects comply with company standards and to provide strategic legal advice on business initiatives and transactions.
  • Oversee litigation and dispute matters, including the selection and coordination of external counsels.
  • Assist Tranglo's data protection officer in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal privacy policies, including conducting data protection training and supporting related activities.
  • Monitor and manage trademark registrations and renewals to ensure ongoing protection of intellectual property.
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in law from a recognised institution. Admission to practice is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in private practice, corporate, banking, finance and/or related payment services.
  • Solid understanding of core legal principles and contract negotiation strategies, with added value for experience in governance, data protection, and privacy laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain legal concepts in a layman-friendly way.
  • Proactive, meticulous, and highly effective at managing time and completing priorities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
