As the home of other super-talented artists and technicians, Anima is a place where you truly can make an impact with your work, ideas, and craftsmanship.We are currently looking for Layout Artist to join our quest.Job Summary:The Layout Artist is responsible for realising the locked Animatic using the 3D assets to tell the story. This will include establishing shot sequences, staging, character placements, camera compositions, and continuity to create a 3D layout pass that can then go forward into Animation and for use by all later departments. The Layout Artists may also be required to create simple animation, lighting and dummy FX to convey key story points.Key Responsibilities:

Establish character blocking, camera positioning and animate camera movement
Provide technical set-up of shots for downstream production department
Interpret storyboards, animatics, to create a rough 3D layout utilising the correct 3D assets for use by the Animation and Lighting & Comp departments.
To take a brief from the Director, CG Supervisor and Production Designer, script and storyboard.
Troubleshoot any technical issues and work with other team members to source solutions.
To ensure production deadline are met
Taking care story, character position and asset continuity
Make the required changes if a client approves the suggestion made, and assist in assembling the final layout

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Arts, or similar
3+ years of experience as a layout animation or animation
Good with composition and storytelling skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
To be able to learn and develop skills as required by the Production or series
Advance skills with Autodesk Maya

Remark:

Malaysian citizens/local applicants will be prioritized.
This is an on-site position based at our studio in Kota Damansara, Malaysia.
