- Supervise and guide a team of buyers in the purchasing of direct and indirect materials, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Monitor and manage daily purchasing operations including PO issuance, order tracking, expediting, and supplier communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers; monitor vendor performance in terms of price competitiveness, quality, lead time, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production schedules.
- Support sourcing and price negotiation activities to achieve cost-saving targets and maintain competitiveness.
- Resolve supply issues, material shortages, or delivery delays, and escalate critical matters when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement data and documentation in the ERP system (preferable SAP).
- Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock to avoid excess or stockouts.
- Assist in supplier audits, onboarding, and risk assessments.
- Generate regular reports on procurement KPIs, cost performance, and supplier metrics for management review.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the E&E industry.
- Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Solid understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, or PCB assemblies is a plus.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
