- Plays a key role in building and sustaining governance, policy and control environment across all entities and markets. This role owns the policy governance framework.
- Responsible to develop and maintain policy governance standards, style guides, templates, and governance playbooks.
- Lead the periodic review and annual refresh of corporate policies and governance documents to ensure relevance, completeness, and regulatory alignment.
- Review and assess proposed policy amendments to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with existing frameworks and organizational standards.
- Identify and resolve potential conflicts, overlaps, or inconsistencies across policies to maintain a coherent governance structure.
- Maintain a centralized policy governance framework, including version control, approval workflows, and documentation standards.
- Establish and execute periodic governance testing and monitoring activities to assess compliance with approved policies and governance standards.
- Track and follow up on remediation actions arising from governance reviews to ensure timely closure and sustainable improvements.
- Provide advisory support to policy owners on drafting, structuring, and updating policies to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Prepare periodic governance reports for senior management and relevant committees, highlighting key updates, gaps, and improvement initiatives.
- Support regulatory inspections and external reviews related to corporate governance matters.
- Promote governance awareness across the organization through communication and training initiatives to reinforce accountability and policy ownership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in corporate governance, internal controls, risk management, compliance, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, regulatory expectations, and policy management frameworks.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining corporate policies within a structured governance environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and governance risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Professional certifications such as CGI/ICSA qualification (Chartered Governance Professional) can be a plus
