2. The VS Supervisor understands the expectations of higher management and how to meet or exceed these goals. The VS Supervisor is responsible for getting the most of the goals from the production stuff by inspiring and motivating them by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
3. To organize and control all activities smooth running of the production floor so that the desired level of quality as per assigned standard is achieved. A VS Supervisor also must work directly alongside Team Leaders, Buddies and employees to accomplish tasks.
4. To work closely with demand planning department in Production Planning, scheduling and execution.
5. To involve in Identification of non-conformities in production floor and come up with improvement proposals.
Resolves production problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending actions.
6. To follow up in Planning and implementation of preventive maintenance.
7. To plan tools and spares requirements for production needs.
8. To control all material usage and set up waste in production floor and support CIPS, MUV, LUV indicators.
9. To develop process improvement activities
10. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources allocated is effectively; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
11. To ensure work stations are well keeping all the times and properly maintain premises and work environment safe and clean by ensure the team under supervision is comply with Safety Regulation, Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
12. To ensure quality initiatives i.e. TPS, 5S Poka-Yoke, TPM, Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities are promoted and carried out in the shift.
13. To ensure periodic training of the subordinates allocated so that their resources will be efficiently utilized.
14. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
15. To inform superior/relevant personnel in event of major problems pertaining to prolonged overtime, rejects, industrial unrest, fire, water shortages etc.
16. Maintains staff moral by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.Principal ResponsibilitiesEducation / Experience RequirementsQualification :
Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering or Science.Experience :
Min 2 years working experience in related field prefer in plastic extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, production.
Experience in directing and supervising production personnelSpecialized Skills / Other RequirementsOther Competencies/ Skills :
Able to carry-out training skill in new product development
Possess technical knowledge and be adapt at all phases of the manufacturing processes
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Power Point, Word, and Excel
Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement
Comprehensive knowledge with good communication skill and understanding of human relations skills, Interpersonal skill, principles and team building processes
