Manager (Public Health)

• Competence in the Design of Sewage Treatment Plant, refurbishment works and Retrofitting of Sewage Treatment Plant . Able to understand the principle of Sewer Network design, sewer pumping station design OR Water pumping station OR drainage pumping.
• Lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking medium sized multi-disciplinary project
• Perform all necessary duties from the preliminary/ conceptual design stage until project completion

• Prepare feasibility study, design brief and schematic design
• Prepare sketch drawings with sufficient details to enable draftsperson to produce satisfactory detailed drawings as required for tender, construction or other purposes;
• Undertake sewage detailed design and prepare specifications, bill of quantities and schedules
• Prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant codes and standards

• Prepare Tender Document comprising specifications, bill of quantities and schedules etc
• Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender

• Assist Client in the selection of appropriate method of contract procurement
• Contract administration including review and comment on the contractor’s submission of method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures and test results.
• Prepare Progress Payment Certificates
• Address Variations and resolve contractual disputes with guidance by superior

• Build and maintain good relationship with Client
• Prepare consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal
• Carry out sales and marketing to secure project

• Carry out management and administration functions within division as directed
• Carry out management and administration activities within company as directed
• Assist in improving efficiency of Division

• Review Subordinates’ and peers’ output and provide guidance to Subordinates
• Act as mentor to Subordinates
• Conduct on-the-job training for subordinates
• Develop capabilities in specialist/niche field of consultancy services undertaken by Division as directed

• Prepare cost estimates
• Attend meetings and coordinate with all other internal and external design team members
• Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents
• Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice
• Involve in company’s activities including corporate social responsibility activities.
• To carry out all tasks related to Minconsult’s operation as directed

• Degree in Chemical Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM)
• Registered with BEM as a Professional Engineer
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment
• Able to work independently for typical types and sizes of projects comprising the design of a sewage treatment plant , refurbished Or retrofit an existing sewage treatment plant.
• Able to lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking medium sized multi-disciplinary project.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines.
• Good inter-personal skills and outcome driven. A good team player
• Good command of written and spoken English. Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia
