Senior Engineer (Public Health)

• Handle typical and small to medium sized projects comprising Sewer Network and sewer Pumping Station, OR Water Pumping Station OR Drainage Pumping System, and all infrastructure related works as assigned by GM of Division with guidance by superior
• Lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking multi-disciplinary small to medium sized project with guidance by superior
• Perform all necessary duties from the preliminary/conceptual design stage until project completion as listed in the following sections with guidance by superior
• Assist superior on bigger sized projects
• Design and Drawing Preparation

• Prepare feasibility study, design brief and schematic design.
• Prepare sketch drawings with sufficient details to enable draftsperson to produce satisfactory detailed drawings as required for tender, construction or other purposes;
• Undertake mechanical system detailed design and prepare specifications, bill of quantities and schedules
• Prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant codes and standards
• Tender Document and Tender Evaluation

• Prepare Tender Document comprising specifications, bill of quantities and schedules etc
• Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender
• Contract Administration

• Contract administration including review and comment on the contractor’s submission of method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures and test results.

• Prepare Progress Payment Certificates
• Address Variations and resolve contractual disputes with guidance by superior
• Business Development

• Build and maintain good relationship with Client
• Assist in preparing consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal
• Assist superior in carrying out sales and marketing to secure project
• Management and Administration

• Assisting in management and administration functions within division as directed
• Assisting in management and administration activities within company as directed
• Assist in improving efficiency of Division
• Training and Self-Development

• Review Subordinates’ and peers’ output and provide guidance to Subordinates
• Act as mentor to Subordinates
• Conduct on-the-job training for subordinates
• Others

• Prepare cost estimates
• Attend meetings and coordinate with all other internal and external design team members
• Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents
• Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice
• Involve in company’s activities including corporate social responsibility activities.
• Carry out all tasks related to Minconsult’s operation as directed

• Degree in CIVIL Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM)
• Registered with BEM as a Graduate Engineer
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment
• Able to handle typical and small to medium sized projects comprising of Sewer Network and sewer Pumping Station, OR Water Pumping Station OR Drainage Pumping System, and all infrastructure related works and all infrastructure related pump station with minimal guidance
• Able to lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking small to medium sized multi-disciplinary project with minimal guidance
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines.
• Good inter-personal skills. A good team player
• Good command of written and spoken English. Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia
