Position: GenAI Contractor Location: Bangsar South, Malaysia Employment Type: Onsite Contract Duration: 12 months Role Purpose We are looking for a GenAI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications-focusing on RAG pipelines, structured extraction, and API services that integrate seamlessly with internal systems. Key Responsibilities GenAI Development Build RAG pipelines (ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, prompting). Create structured extraction solutions (documents JSON) with validation logic. API & Integration Develop and maintain APIs (FastAPI/Flask) to expose GenAI capabilities. Ensure smooth integration with internal systems. Testing & Evaluation Build evaluation datasets and test harnesses (accuracy, consistency, latency). Compare models (LLM/embedding variants) and document trade-offs. Engineering Best Practices Use version control, reproducible environments, logging, and error handling. Produce clear technical documentation (architecture, setup guides, runbooks). Collaboration Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into user stories. Deliver incrementally and iterate based on feedback. Requirements Experience 3+ years in data/ML/software engineering with strong Python skills. Delivered at least one of: RAG with vector database LLM-based structured extraction LLM integration for end-user workflows Technical Skills Python, SQL, REST APIs, JSON schemas LLM/RAG concepts: embeddings, chunking, retrieval, prompt templates API development (FastAPI/Flask) Git, documentation, reproducibility Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and debugging Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to manage priorities and deliver on time Preferred Qualifications Experience with vector stores (FAISS, Qdrant, Milvus, Pinecone) Local LLM tooling (Ollama) or cloud LLM platforms Document parsing (PDF/XML/HTML) and regex post-processing Docker, CI/CD, observability Security/privacy awareness (PII handling) AWS cloud services
