The Global Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of Nexperia’s global network infrastructure.
This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of network services across all sites and cloud environments. The engineer collaborates with IT operations, cybersecurity, and external service providers to maintain and improve network reliability and scalability.What you will doDesign, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud network environments.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls, access controls, and intrusion prevention systems.Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for network services and support.Support network-related incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configurations, and procedures.Participate in capacity planning and network upgrades to support business growth.Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with IT operations and cybersecurity teams to align network services with organizational goals.Provide technical guidance and support for global and regional IT projects involving network infrastructure.What you will needBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldWith 7+ years of experience in network engineering.Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Azure Network Engineer) are preferred.Experience in a global enterprise environment, particularly with global network operations and vendor management, is a plusStrong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).- mustExperience with enterprise network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, along with a strong understanding of network security principles and practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Accountable for the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of Nexperia’s global network infrastructure.Ensures network services support business continuity, performance, and compliance requirements.Talent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
