- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions precisely to ensure consistent quality
- Prepare and present dishes according to established standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Support senior chefs in menu development and special projects
- Continuously learn and improve culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs
- Equivalent qualification in culinary arts or related field
- 0-3 years of kitchen experience, depending on the level (Commis I, II, or III)
- Proficiency in various culinary techniques and cooking methods
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques
- Basic knowledge of various cuisines is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
