This role is with a well-established Malaysian industrial chemicals manufacturer, part of a diversified group with decades of experience in chemical production and related industries. The company operates multiple sites in Peninsular Malaysia and emphasizes compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.Role PurposeSupport and manage the Group’s Internal Audit function with a focus on operational audit. Provide independent, practical, and efficient audit services to ensure that business processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with risk management practices.Key Responsibilities· Conduct operational-focused internal audits based on the approved annual audit plan.· Plan audit assignments to ensure the scope covers key business processes and operational risks.· Examine operational procedures and controls to assess efficiency, compliance, and risk management.· Issue audit reports and follow up on implementation of operational recommendations.· Develop and update audit programs in line with changing operational risks.· Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including business process improvement initiatives.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, or related field.· Minimum 3 years’ experience in internal or external audit, preferably in construction, plantation, chemical, or automotive industries.· Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Qualified Accountant is a plus.· Experience with in-house ERP systems; SAP knowledge is advantageous.· Strong analytical skills, meticulous, resourceful, and able to work independently.· Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in English.· Must have own transport and be willing to travel extensively within Peninsular Malaysia.
