Job DescriptionWhat You Will Do
  • Malaysia based skilled lead-developer role for QTS-RAMPP RiskHub
  • Lead/manage a team of local developers in support of various RiskHub initiatives both regionally and globally
  • Collaborate with other RiskHub leads and contribute to delivering strategic/BAU RiskHub roadmap
  • Be a point person for business users in the region and prioritize issues through proper channels and prioritization
Responsibility
  • Act as a lead developer to implement strategic greenfield initiatives for RiskHub
  • Code, test, debug, implement and support a strategic intraday real-time and EOD risk and pnl application
  • Be a thought leader, mentor and technical leader to provide architecture oversight and technology steer for ongoing and upcoming BOW
  • Analyze, debug and resolve production issues including but not limited to data flows, application performance, system latency and infrastructure
  • Carry out data analysis & schema designs for EOD Risk Data
  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies and address them in a timely manner
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Collaborate with the wider CM community for input and review of approach / design
Must Have?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • Experience with Java 11 needed; RxJava & Java17 is highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, threading & concurrency
  • Good knowledge of SQL (including performance tuning), Solace (Or other messaging frameworks) and Unix
  • Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub and build frameworks like Maven, Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Working knowledge of Spark 3, Amazon S3 and Python
Nice to Have?
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
  • Previous experience or understanding of Risk Management in a financial services setting would be beneficial
  • Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
  • Prior experience in Apache Ignite/GridGain, Python, SprintBoot, HTML5 and React is highly desirable
  • Should be well versed with enterprise DataLake concepts (HDFS, Hive, Dremio toolkit) and should be able to leverage these for representing risk/PnL datasets
  • Should be able to deal with change and provide demos/technical walkthroughs to seniors RAMPP/QTS colleagues.
