ABOUT THE ROLE:We’re building the next generation of underwriting-led, technology-enabled reinsurance.As such, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who is a true hunter — someone who originates underwriting opportunities and wants to move closer to the risk, not just place it.WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Originate & Hunt Underwriting Opportunities
Carrying a Builder + Hunter role, you would be responsible to actively identify, develop, and close reinsurance and underwriting partnerships across treaty, facultative, quota share, and structured programs.
  • Own the Front-End of Deal Creation
Drive real ownership by leading commercial discussions from first contact to bound deals. You will be engaging insurers, MGAs, brokers, insurtechs, and platform partners to shape viable underwriting opportunities right from the early-stage conversations.
  • Translate Market Needs into Underwritable Structures
Proactively developing a deeper exposure and understanding of the market. You will work closely with underwriting, pricing, actuarial, and tech teams to convert raw opportunities into scalable, risk-sound programs. Identify embedded, specialty, or non-traditional risks requiring creative structuring.
  • Build Long-Term Ecosystem Relationships
Develop trusted partnerships across the (re)insurance value chain, translating it into a relationship-driven deal sourcing, — not purely transactional placements.
  • Be at the Forefront of New Risk Models
Helping to build and define the future of reinsurance, you will actively participate in embedded insurance, parametric solutions, and data-led underwriting programs that go beyond traditional placements.RequirementsWHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in reinsurance broking, reinsurance underwriting, or insurtech.
  • Strong regional networks within the (re)insurance ecosystem.
  • Experience originating or structuring treaty / facultative / specialty programs.
  • Commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and comfortable hunting new deals.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio dynamics, pricing, and loss ratio fundamentals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and growth orientation.
  • Excited by innovation, technology, and new insurance models.
