Key Responsibilities Business Development: Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities (new logos) in defined territories or industry verticals. Consultative Selling: Analyze customer technical challenges and pain points, providing strategic, value-based solutions that demonstrate ROI. Technical Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and live, tailored software demonstrations to engineers, managers, and executive stakeholders. Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring an accurate forecast for the quarter and fiscal year. Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers and technical champions, including C-level executives. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineers to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations, managing commercial terms and license renewals. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies (e.g., AI in simulation). Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical), Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in technical software sales, specifically simulation software (e.g., Simcenter, STAR-CCM+ , competitive solutions). Sales Acumen: Proven track record in hunting new business, managing long enterprise sales cycles, and exceeding sales quotas. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CAE , virtual prototyping, and simulation workflows. Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Travel: Ability to travel (often up to 30%-50%) for customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Preferred Qualifications Experience in specific industries: Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, High Tech, or Industrial Equipment. Experience in selling SaaS or subscription-based software.
