We are seeking a visionary Social Media Manager to spearhead Resorts World Genting's social presence across local and international markets. This role demands a strategic leader who can balance creativity with analytics, manage a team with clear direction and coaching, and translate business objectives into innovative digital storytelling. As the social media lead, you will work closely with upper management to secure approvals, shape brand narratives, and drive forward new opportunities in partnerships, community building and social commerce.Key Responsibilities
1. Define and drive the overall social media vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with RWG's brand and business priorities.
2. Act as the strategic lead for all social media initiatives, securing buy-in and approvals from senior leadership
3. Lead social media team with clear direction, structured coaching and professional development to build a high-performing unit
4. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and business units to ensure integration and impact
5. Lead the strategy and execution of content across Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu (XHS) and emerging platforms
6. Oversee the content calendar to balance always-on storytelling, campaigns, livestreaming and reactive content
7. Build and lead social media IP campaigns and content that differentiate RWG from competitors
8. Champion new initiatives, partnerships and collaborations with platforms, agencies and creators to unlock new growth opportunities
9. Drive social commerce and livestreaming strategies, integrating entertainment with conversion to deliver measurable business results
10. Oversee social listening, crisis monitoring and real-time response strategies, protecting RWG's brand reputation
11. Translate analytics and audience insights into strategic recommendations, reporting regularly to upper managementRequirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- More than 6 years of experience in social media/digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven expertise in both local (Malaysia) and international markets
- Multi-lingual preferred
- A forward-thinking leader who is passionate, detail-oriented and disciplined, with the ability to motivate teams and deliver measurable results
