Senior Accountant - Automate finance workflows and cut manual processes Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in transforming their finance function. With current processes operating at approximately 80% manual and 20% automated, this role will drive the organisation's shift toward a more efficient, technology-enabled operating model. About the Role The Senior Accountant, Finance Transformation, will take ownership of the finance automation roadmap, leading the design, development, and implementation of automated workflows and system integrations. The role will support key finance platforms such as: Coupa BlackLine NetSuite This position requires close collaboration with both accounting and technology teams to modernise workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance end-to-end process efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the finance automation strategy. Assess existing manual processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation. Build, test, and deploy automated workflows and integrations across key finance systems. Partner with accounting, FP&A, and technology teams to deliver streamlined processes. Document workflow changes, provide user training, and support change management initiatives. Troubleshoot automation or system issues and recommend continuous improvements. Ensure alignment with internal controls, compliance, and finance governance. Collaborate with US-based teams as needed, with flexibility for time-zone overlap. Requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is an advantage. Solid accounting foundation with experience in finance operations. Practical experience with AI tools, automation platforms, macros, or workflow optimisation (no preference for specific technologies). Exposure to Coupa, BlackLine, or NetSuite is beneficial. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to independently manage automation projects and work with cross-functional teams. Flexible to support occasional collaboration with US time zones. Working Arrangement Standard working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days WFH per week.
