- Responsible to handle a full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR) to ensure accurate and timely closing of month-end accounts
- Proper maintenance of documentation and filling for accounting entries supporting.
- Ensuring all account activities and functions are in an accurate and timely manner
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Lead and oversee the team
- Responsible for tax submissions on personal and company levels
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Liaise with the auditor, tax agent, and other regulatory bodies, including preparation of relevant schedules and supporting documentation.
- Oversee the group accounts and make recommendations when necessary.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in the retail industry.
- Hands-on experience in handling a full set of accounts and taxes.
- Possess professional accountancy qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia, ICAA, ICAEW, or MICPA) and qualified MIA member.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
