- The Business Development Manager (BDM) is critical to the success of our Asia-Pacific ACM Business Unit (BU).
- Drive, support, and influence sales and functions to grow ACM business via strategic planning, targeted upskilling, and collaborative execution.
- Collaborate, train, and strategically execute with our channel partners to win and scale General Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business through APAC.
- Set and execute the strategy for the General MRO business in alignment with the APAC Leadership Team (LT).
- Be the expert for General MRO hero applications, industries, solutions, and products.
- Lead, create, and support APAC and global strategies and initiatives for key industries and hero applications, ensuring sustainable near, mid and long-term success.
- Think critically to identify and define scalability opportunities and research market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to fulfill needs for the General MRO business.
- Uncover and recognize unmet needs and innovation opportunities in strategic industries, lead customers, and hero applications to develop new sales tools, processes, solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key, industry leaders, distributors, and customers to identify, develop, and win new business.
- Develop and foster internal relationships with strategic collaboration across multiple functional areas and businesses: Regional Leaders, Marketing, Sales, Sales Management, Product Managers, Application Engineers, Innovation Managers, Channel Managers and relevant stakeholders on projects and initiatives.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent (MBA/MS is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or Business development field.
- Proven sales/customer-facing experience selling through B2B Industrial Sales.
- Excellent presentation, project management, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and execute deliverables.
- Passion, curiosity, and creativity to think critically and question the status quo.
- Ability to lead, build strong relationships, and influence others to accomplish objectives.
- Skilled with change management, negotiation, and ability to handle volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA).
- Proficient computer and digital skills (Microsoft Office, CRMs, research platforms)
- Experience in the Chemical industry and/or Manufacturing is a plus.
