Core Responsibilities Process Improvement: Utilizing methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma (Kaizen, DMAIC) to eliminate waste, reduce process variability, and improve first-pass yield. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Leading investigations into production defects or customer complaints using structured tools such as 8D Reports, Fishbone Diagrams, and the 5 Whys. Statistical Process Control (SPC): Monitoring and analyzing process performance data using metrics like Cp and Cpk (capability indices) to ensure systems stay within specification limits. Audit & Compliance: Conducting internal process audits and ensuring adherence to international standards such as ISO 9001 (General). Documentation & Control Plans: Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Control Plans that define exactly how a process should be monitored and controlled. Risk Management: Performing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify potential process failures and implementing preventive actions before they occur. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between production, design engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and support New Product Introduction (NPI) through the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Certifications: Professional credentials such as the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly preferred. Type of Working Experience: At least 5 years' working experience in Manufacturing Industry Knowledge / Skills and Abilities Analytical Skills: Data analysis (SPC), root cause analysis, and proficiency with quality tools. Technical Knowledge: Understanding manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials. Detail-Oriented: Focused on precision to prevent defects and improve quality. Tools: Minitab, SAP (QM Module), and CAD software for blueprint interpretation. Analytical Skills: High proficiency in data interpretation, trend analysis, and Statistical Analysis. Communication: Ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and lead training sessions for shop floor staff.
