  • Work closely with the BD team to prepare technical proposals for Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring timely submission of competitive, accurate, and compliant designs
  • Provide technical input for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, site assessments, and solution development during the sales process
  • Develop value-engineered system designs that optimise cost, energy yield, and project IRR/LCOE/LCOS
  • Support BD during client meetings and presentations, providing technical clarifications and solution justifications
  • Review and approve engineering drawings (e.g., Single Line Diagrams, PV module layouts) and technical documentation
  • Oversee system simulations and energy yield assessments using PVsyst, SolarGIS, HelioScope, HomerPro
  • Ensure all proposals and designs comply with Malaysian regulations, grid connection requirements, and codes of practice for solar PV and BESS
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers assigned to proposal work, ensuring consistency and technical accuracy
  • Coordinate with procurement, project management, and external consultants to ensure proposed solutions are practical and cost-effective
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering/Renewable Energy related field
  • At least 4 years experience in Solar PV system and/or BESS design, engineering, and project development
  • Has understanding and knowledge of electrical designs and specifications at 415/400/230V levels
  • Having experience and knowledge of designing MV and HV electrical systems is a strong plus
  • Competent in AutoCAD and software working knowledge eg: PVsyst, Skelion Pro, SolarGIS, HelioScope, HomerPro
  • In-depth familiarity with Malaysian regulations, codes of practice, grid connection processes, and industry standards for solar PV and BESS
