Position Overview The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving sales growth, trade execution and profitability within the assigned region. This role oversees distributor, wholesaler and key account relationships, manages a sales team, and ensures the successful execution of sales strategies in line with company objectives. What will you be doing 1. Sales & Business Development Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region. Identify new business opportunities, channels, and emerging markets to drive growth. Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers. Negotiate trade terms, promotions, and pricing within company guidelines. 2. Team Management Lead, train, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers / Sales Executives. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve productivity. Ensure sales team alignment with company standards, policies, and brand guidelines. 3. Market & Competitor Analysis Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences. Provide regular feedback and insights to the marketing and product teams. Recommend changes to pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies. 4. Execution & Trade Marketing Oversee execution of trade marketing programs, point-of-sale materials, and in-store activations. Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising at the retail level. Manage sell-in and sell-out processes with distributors and retail partners. 5. Reporting & Forecasting Prepare accurate sales forecasts and track performance against targets. Report on sales performance, key challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Sales reporting tools with up-to-date information. What you bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Minimum 5-8 years of sales experience in FMCG, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong distributor management and key account management skills. Proven track record in achieving sales targets in competitive markets. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools. Willingness to travel extensively within the region. Willing to work in Kota Kinabalu / Kuching Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales Target Achievement - Monthly, quarterly, annual revenue & volume targets. Distribution Reach - Number of active outlets / market coverage. Team Performance - Achievement rate of direct reports. Execution Excellence - Trade activation and merchandising compliance scores.
