- Act as functional lead for SAP HCM within the AMS scope
- Own L2/L3 production support and escalation handling
- Ensure SLA compliance, ticket quality, and service stability
- Lead, mentor, and review work of junior HCM consultants and analysts
- Participate in service reviews and governance meetings
- Provide support and functional expertise across core SAP HCM modules, including:
- Personnel Administration (PA)
- Organizational Management (OM)
- Time Management (TM)
- Payroll (as applicable)
- Handle complex issues related to:
- Master data inconsistencies
- Time evaluation and payroll runs
- Schema and PCR-related functional analysis
- Infotype configuration and process flows
- Manage priority incidents and production outages with structured resolution
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Analyze, design, and estimate change requests (CRs)
- Support UAT and deployment activities for enhancements and regulatory changes
- Ensure timely implementation of:
- Statutory and regulatory HR changes
- Payroll compliance updates
- Support internal and external audits by:
- Providing explanations and documentation
- Ensuring control adherence within HR processes
- Act as primary point of contact for business HR users
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to:
- Understand functional issues and business impacts
- Recommend process improvements and simplifications
- Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders during critical issues
- Work closely with:
- SAP FI (Payroll posting, GL integrations)
- SAP Security (roles and authorizations)
- Interfaces to third-party HR and payroll systems
- Ensure data consistency and smooth process integration end-to-end
- Identify opportunities to:
- Reduce manual effort and recurring issues
- Improve process efficiency and system performance
- Support transition initiatives such as:
- ECC to S/4HANA HCM transformation
- SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors hybrid environments (if applicable)
- Maintain and update:
- Functional specifications
- SOPs and support playbooks
- Knowledge base articles
- Support AMS transitions and team onboarding
