- Leading the monthly group reporting with variance analysis on key business drivers, and subsidiaries management accounts, including cash flow and ensuring submissions to Management reporting timelines.
- Review, prepare monthly accounts summary, commentaries, and variance analysis as well as other relevant reports within stipulated deadlines.
- To monitor costing and feasibility studies.
- Review and manage the monthly preparation of tax computation/schedules for closing ensuring accuracy and reasonableness of tax amount relative to the profit.
- Review and assist in the preparation of annual tax return and the schedules thereof for submission to the tax authorities before the deadline.
- To manage in the preparation of audit & reconciliations provided to the auditors on timely basis.
- Perform review & verification of journals raised by the reporting section and ensure all journals are accurate, supported, and authorized.
- To prepare and manage the annual budget, cash flow projections and yearly fixed assets audit.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, solicitors, business partners, and government bodies for audit, taxation, and financial matters.
- Continuous improvement and implementation of process, policies and internal control, relation to accounting and reporting as well as overall business flow
- To carry out appraisal, performance review and monitor account department staff discipline in line with company established policy and procedures.
- To carry out other additional duties for company when required and directed by superiors
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accounting/professional accounting qualification or preferably a member of one of the professional accounting bodies e.g. ACCA, MIA, MICPA, ASCPA.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English
- At least 8 - 12 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Independent, good interpersonal, communication and leadership skill.
- Ability to handle multitask work under time constraint and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Preferably with Accounting Software knowledge (e.g SAP system) 8. Able to speak and write Japanese language will be added advantage.
