In your new role you will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and innovation. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in manufacturing automation, identifying opportunities to apply new technologies and strategies to improve factory operations. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Product owner of Material Control System (MCS) and Low-Level Controller System (AMR, OHV, ASRS, Conveyer, Buffer Location, etc…). Oversee production WIP flow automation, material and inventory management, and ensure seamless system integration of MCS, LLC system, MES, robotics, equipment, sensors and infrastructure using SECS/GEM protocols, REST API, Java or any latest technology.
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design, development, and deployment of Lights Out Automation systems. Ensure software solutions are high-availability, reliable, ease of integration and maintenance, scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and company policies to support 24/7 unmanned operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of Automation engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure successful project execution and professional development.
- Drive strategic planning and execution of multiple concurrent automation projects, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead the incident and problem management processes for system failures root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions. Establish 24/7 incidents support plan and escalation procedure.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies that emerges technologies in smart manufacturing.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems, workflows, and troubleshooting guides. Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical training across teams.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in semiconductor automation systems with focus on Lights OUT automation, factory system architecture, and software development, and at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with Lights OUT Manufacturing, MCS, AMR/OHV, and stocker systems.
- Understanding of WIP flow logic and production workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and version control systems.
- Proficiency in programming skills in REST API, Java and experience with Docker, microservices and Redis.
- Experience with low-level controller programming (e.g. PLC, etc.).
- Deep understanding of SECS/GEM communication protocols.
- Experience in designing high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Visionary thinking to define and inspire long-term technology direction
- Lead cross-functional and cross-site teams, vendors, and partners effectively
- Ability to simplify complex technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders
- Navigate and resolve competing priorities, technical disagreements and data-driven decision making
- Continuous improvement mindset and innovative problem-solving to eliminate waste and drive efficiency
