ResponsibilitiesAs an R&D Software Embedded Engineer, you will contribute directly to PXI/AXIe chassis and modular driver design and development that power Keysight’s next-generation design and test products. Your role will focus on applying deep technical expertise in programming, embedded systems, and system integration.You will be working closely with cross-functional teams including Keysight Labs, software, and hardware architects to develop innovative and reliable embedded solutions, addressing complex challenges in system DevOps, security compliance, and algorithm optimization. Your work will support advanced technologies such as 6G and quantum systems.This role offers the opportunity to lead key technical aspects of the product development lifecycle, ensuring high performance and quality in modular platforms and supporting long-term architectural evolution. We are looking for a technically strong and self-driven engineer who is passionate about embedded platforms, system software, and continuous innovation.Key responsibilities include,

Drive the design and development of secure, reliable applications, reusable software components, and low-level drivers for test and measurement products.
Lead DevOps and modernization initiatives for software build systems, ensuring compliance with Keysight's product security standards.
Resolve complex software issues and deliver expert technical support for external customers and internal business partners.
Oversee the Agile development process, contributing deep expertise across the full software development life cycle, from system analysis to deployment.
Address escalations from internal business partner teams with efficient, high-quality solutions.
Work closely with teams in the U.S. and coordinate effectively with R&D partners to execute projects seamlessly.

QualificationsEducational Background:Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with over 7 years of experience and expertise in Embedded Software design.Required Competencies:

Proficient in C++/Modern C++ with OOP. Experienced in C#, WPF, InstallShield, Install Builder developments are added advantage.
Driver development experience for Windows (mandatory) and Linux is an added advantage.
Knowledge of PXI/AXIe chassis and modular driver design and development.
Good experience with build server in Jenkins, Git and JIRA.
Experience in automation build script in python.
Experience in GUI design by using XAML.
Experience in Chocolatey package.
Knowledge of IVI driver design and development is an advantage.
Familiar with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, UART, SPI).
Experience with USB, PCIe, network protocols, and multi-thread programming is a plus.
Familiar with flash/memory types (NOR, NAND, eMMC, SD card, EEPROM) is advantageous.
Demonstrated expertise in embedded software development, ideally with leadership experience.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, proactive mindset, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous learning and motivating others.
Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment with a growth mindset and ready-to-learn attitude.
