Finance Executive (Taxation)

• Prepare annual statutory accounts in compliance with accounting standards and ensure timely submission to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).
• Coordinate with tax consultants to support Corporate Income Tax and Petroleum Income Tax filings for Malaysia and Thailand, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Ensure accurate preparation and submission of other tax filings such as Sales and Service Tax (SST) in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Perform year-end accounts closing, ensuring all general ledger balances are accurate and properly carried forward into the new financial year.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors by providing required documents, responding to audit queries, and supporting audit completion within timelines.
• Generate and review monthly and quarterly financial reports, including utilization and performance reports for management review.
• Monitor financial performance by comparing actual expenditure against budget and forecast, and provide variance analysis.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in line with company requirements and regulatory standards.
• Ensure all accounting and financial activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and HSE standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Minimum 6 years of working experience as a Financial Accountant or Tax Accountant.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience using accounting systems such as SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Proven experience in preparing and maintaining a full set of accounts, including balance sheet and profit & loss statements.
• Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, taxation, and audit processes.
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
