- Explore and evaluate market opportunities and competitive landscape in Malaysia
- Assist in the licensing and regulatory workstream, working closely with the Legal & Compliance team to manage submissions to relevant authoritiesLead and own the business growth and P&L of Malaysia, through the ownership strategic roadmap of the business
- Own the product roadmap for Malaysia together with Product & Engineering to identify big bets and localisation opportunities specific to the Malaysian market
- Drive business growth by leading bespoke marketing campaigns and striking marquee partnership deals tailored to the Malaysian market
- Develop a deep understanding of the fintech landscape in Malaysia and constantly identify new business growth opportunities
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing local leadership team in Malaysia
- Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of YouTrip, identify and drive cross-functional and/or cross-country initiatives for business growth
- Entrepreneurial Self-starter & Hustler - You are not afraid to get your hands dirty with a "whatever it takes" mindset and no job is too little for you. You strive for the best in everything you do, and understand the importance to influence your team to do the same to push for performance in a high paced environment
- Experienced Commercial Leader - You have at least 10 years of senior team leadership roles in a fast-paced environment, and proven track record in multiplying business revenues. Experience in Consumer Products and/or Marketing in Malaysia are preferred. Experience in Fintech or Financial Institutions space (B2C and/or B2B) will be a strong plus
- Market Entry & Research Expert - You have hands-on experience leading market entry initiatives, including structuring and executing market research frameworks, synthesising competitive intelligence, and translating insights into actionable go-to-market strategies. Prior experience launching a product or business in Malaysia is a strong advantage
- Licensing & Regulatory Navigator - You have working knowledge of Malaysia’s financial services regulatory environment, including familiarity with BNM’s licensing frameworks (e.g. Payment Services Act or its equivalent). You are comfortable engaging regulators, managing licensing submissions, and coordinating with legal and compliance teams to navigate complex approval processes
- Consumer Behavior Expert - You may not come from a research background but you believe in your cultural understanding of consumer preferences in Malaysia, backed by market insights, to localise our product and GTM strategy in Malaysia
